The “Beware of Dog Sign†has a history that most of us aren’t aware of. In present-day, we typically use them to warn potential burglars or trespassers of a dog that may or may not be harmful, and may or may not even exist (yes, there are people put there who wisely use these signs as a kind of free security system).
