The tiny dog leaned silently next to his owner’s casket, his gaze staying forward as he loyally guarded his human one last time, before the funeral processions began. Friends and family all said that Andrea and Flash were inseparable; a statement proved true by this beautiful, yet sad exhibition of love and loyalty portrayed by this sweet dog.

Flash is not without a loving family, though; Cossu’s wife will be taking care of him from now on, and luckily survived the earthquake which killed her husband.
