She took them back to her native Australia, and the boys thrived under her care. Ahmed represented Australia during the 2012 Summer Paralympics as a quadruple amputee swimmer.
Over the last 14 years, Emmanuel has endured over six surgeries and has had to jump over hurdles constantly to try and achieve his dreams.
