Building things to keep the cats entertained became a hobby for him and build he did! All of Cohen’s cats come from shelters and most are hard-to-place cats. Cohen lost two cats to feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), a virus that kills about one in two hundred kittens.
Before this year, FIP was always fatal because there was no treatment. Because of Cohen’s notoriety, he could get the second cat treated with a new drug, but it didn’t work.
