Airports have always been a place of mixed emotions. Fear, sadness, happiness, excitement, worry…sometimes the emotions in these places are almost palpable! This was no different for Army Specialist Vance McFarland. McFarland was waiting nervously at the Boise, Idaho airport for a special passenger to arrive.
While pacing back-and-forth with a dog toy in hand, he was waiting for a different, special kind of Army buddy to arrive.
