She Fled Her Abusive Home With Her Daughter. Now All She Wants Is Her Dog Back

They got on a bus and traveled hundreds of miles away to St. Catharine’s, Ontario where they entered a shelter for battered women. The problem arose when Nicole learned that women’s shelters don’t allow dogs in.

They had to board Cuddles, a Chihuahua that Nicole had rescued from an abusive owner as a puppy, until she was back on her feet and could get an apartment for her, her daughter, and Cuddles.
