A spokesperson for the SPCA said that they were overcome with joy over the donation. They wanted to give a huge “thank you†to whomever the mystery donation came from, and reassured that the money would be used to help the animals in their care. Just because you do not have $8,000 lying around, or even an extra $50, does not mean that you cannot help your local shelter.
Shelters are always looking for volunteers to work helping with the animals and giving them attention, as well as the more mundane activities of feeding them and providing upkeep to the shelter.
