Amanda Jones is an extremely talented photographer who has dedicated the last 20 years to a genius photography project. The project highlights just how short the lives of our beloved pets are. While 20 years may not seem like a lifetime to many humans, it’s often longer than the lifespan of our pets. Dogs age much faster than humans; maybe that’s why we say that they age in “dog years”. However, no old they get, they will always be important and loved members of our family. Only a nine-year difference to us, but a world of difference to this pup! You can see the noticeable gray in his coat, and the wisdom in his eyes.

Dogs can be very childlike sometimes; however, no one ever adopted a dog because they wanted another adult around, did they? Regardless of their maturity levels, all dogs are goofy at times. When it comes to hide-and-seek, they just aren’t up-to-par with cats. They definitely put forth a good effort, though! If I can’t see them, they can’t see me!

Kids and cats have a lot in common. One, is their playfulness, and one is their complete lack of awareness when it comes to personal space. Although, no matter how much peace and quiet we would like every once-in-a-while, they’re so adorable, we can’t help but forgive them. I see you working hard… oh, look, here’s my tummy for you to scratch!
