Babysitters come in different species, forms, shapes, and sizes. And, these little ducklings’ nanny happens to be a massive German Shepherd. Momma duck is out dealing with some really important matters, so this huge dog has been designated to look after her babies until she comes back home. How adorable is that? This dog looks after its “babies” ever so lovingly. You can tell they are safe in its arms. They look so comfortable around the pooch! Sniffs the ducklings like they’re its own. I bet they all smell so heavenly it can’t help but love them with all its heart. At one point, you could even catch this dog bathing the little ones. My heart is melting like cray cray! Hank still flinches when someone tries to pet him. But that’s to be expected because his previous owner’s hands were not nice ones. When Hank was just about ten months old, his owner was seen beating him and leaving him to die. Someone saw and took pictures of the incident, posted them to Facebook, and tagged Fern White, a longtime volunteer at the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation, to help the poor canine. Jo Ounsley has a British blue shorthair cat named Feli who enjoys the finer things in life and it’s spoiled rotten. When they went on trips, Ounsley’s mom watched Feli, but one year, she was sick and wasn’t able to care for the cat so they spent a lot of time touring cattery’s and looking for cat sitters but couldn’t find anything that they felt comfortable leaving Feli with. Calves who arrive at auction houses are generally just a few days old, weak, and rife with infections due to the lack of mom’s milk. Susie Coston, national shelter director for Farm Sanctuary, had already bought two such babies one day, in late December 2010, and when a third so tiny and pathetic that people laughed calling it “trash” came up, the auctioneer simply looked at her and asked if she wanted it too. Homer and Bentley are brother pit bulls that grew up together. When their family had to move away, they ended up at a Los Angeles shelter, in separate cages. The separation was hard for the brothers and their paws showed the proof.
