Rescued From A Basement, This Cat’s 5-Pound Matted Fur Look Like A Dirty Carpet

Sinbad the cat just learned what weight loss feels like. No, he didn’t join Jenny Craig; he just got a haircut. The nine-year-old Persian was recently surrendered by an elderly man who hadn’t been able to keep up with Sinbad’s care. In an Illinois basement, Sinbad found himself in a hairy situation when his fur became so matted that it limited his mobility and rendered his back legs useless. The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago set to work with a few sets of trimmers and began freeing the cat from his self-made prison. Since his condition was so bad, it took two sittings to cut him free. The first time took several hours, and the last, two more hours. Through the entire process, Sinbad began showing his true self more every minute. Since he could feel movements of his fur again, Sinbad began to show his love of attention and would constantly walk up to people to be pet. After the whole ordeal, Sinbad found himself to be a whopping five pounds lighter and had to relearn how to use his back legs. His skin was very sensitive, but he still longed to be touched. After his monster haircut, Elliott Serrano took Sinbad home to foster him. Serrano intended to find Sinbad a home, but his plans changed when he fell in love. In only a few weeks, Sinbad has been rescued, lost five pounds, and found a forever home. Even though he has a grumpy face, he is very happy and you can follow his adventures on Facebook or Instagram. Share away, people! Images & Feature Image Source: Elliott Serrano & Josie Niebling

This Puppy Was Abandoned Because He Couldn’t Stand. The Life He Lives Today? Wow!

Hugo was thrown out as a puppy when his owners noticed a problem with his legs. The four-week-old puppy couldn’t walk like his siblings because he was born with swimmer puppy syndrome, an odd genetic condition that leads a puppy to making flailing leg motions. Luckily for Hugo, he was found and taken to a shelter where the manager, Audrey Shoemaker realized he didn’t belong. Then, there was Jason Flatt, founder of Friends of the Forlorn Pitbull Rescue, who agreed to take Hugo from the shelter. And last but not least, The Tucker Farm family who agreed to foster him. It was Christmas time and, even though owner Elizabeth LaBauve-Williams had family in town, she just couldn’t say no to the homeless, lonely pup. LaBauve-Williams says that Hugo may never walk normal, but she is hoping that he will be able to get around enough for a great life. Hugo now gets legs massages, water therapy, friendship, and lots of love. Huppy, another dog at the farm, is a great friend to him as well as LaBauve-Williams’ two daughters Adelyn, 3, and Jane, 1.5. The two girls help Hugo with therapy and pick him up when he gets down and is ready to give up. Just a few weeks after his arrival, Hugo is already making wobbly strides and has become feisty and determined to walk. When he is able to get around well enough, he will be ready to find his forever family. If you want to apply to love Hugo, check here or just follow his story here. Share away, people! You Won’t Believe Who Kept Stealing This Store’s Chocolates! Check Out The Hidden Camera!

Thievery is a huge problem these days. And it’s the parent’s fault. I mean, why didn’t those squirrels raise their kids the right way? Wait, what? The squirrels have formed a nutty mafia and are teaming up to teach each other how to steal from a convenience store in Toronto, Canada. It turns out, they like nutty chocolate bars. The squirrels hightail it into the store behind customers, wrap their sticky fingers right around chocolate bars, and then scramble to get back out of the opened door of Luke’s Grocery and Snack Bar. It seems they have been getting away with the behavior unnoticed until a recent uptake in thefts caused the store owners to take a second look at their security cameras. Cindy Kim says that her parents are to blame because they have been feeding the birds seeds out front of their store and have drawn in more than lonely pigeons. When the seeds run out, the squirrels run in. The squirrels may be smart, but the Kim’s are smarter-er. Kind of. They catch the squirrels hanging around the door and try to shoo them off before they get in, but it does not work most of the time because they just don’t see them. Before they realize what is going on, the squirrel is halfway down the street hugging his Payday bar in close. The family is trying to figure out how to stop the onslaught of gangster squirrels in the spring, when they come back full force. You can check out the video of a ninja-squirrel below. 14 Year Old Girl With Special Needs Adopts A Cat No One Wanted To Take Home

Some matches are just meant to be hence the term “match made in Heaven.” Laura and her new friend Lou are one of those pairs. Fourteen-year old Laura in Spain has a rare hereditary disorder that gives her trouble with her neurological and physical development. Her mom, Isa Gonzalez Asensio, decided to find Laura a therapeutic companion animal and happened across an unwanted cat in a shelter named Lou. Lou was a little older than the popular cats and just wasn’t what anyone was looking for but that didn’t matter to his brand-new family. In fact, Lou and Laura immediately bonded and have made each other’s lives so much fuller already. At first, Lou’s new family said they just could not understand why no one wanted such a wonderful and sweet cat, but they now know that it was because he was waiting for Laura. Lorca Animal Rescue was very happy to see Lou get adopted and thought he deserved it. Laura’s mom recorded the moment when Laura and Lou first met and the wonderful video is so spectacularly sweet! Laura is outwardly thrilled and making happy noises and Lou just snuggles into her arm. Lou then begins to groom Laura’s shirt and Laura pulls Lou in a little closer for extra snuggles. Laura laughs as Lou shakes his head and just enjoys the attention. Laura’s sheer joy is totally worth the tears that you’ll lose watching this short video. If you think that a senior pet is patiently waiting for you, you can adopt at the Humane Society here. Share away, people! Image & Feature Image Source: Isabel Gonzalez Asensio
