Courtney, the owner of the “birth†mom to the piglets wasn’t sure what she was going to do until Dottie Jane’s natural motherly instinct kicked in and took over. Quickly, Dottie Jane jumped into action and began comforting and caring for the piglets.
She laid down and allowed the piglets to try nursing and although she wasn’t producing any milk at first the piglets got their nutrition from the bottle feedings and their motherly comforting from Dottie Jane.
