He received a call from one of the boy’s nurses relaying his wishes and Santa rushed to the rescue. When he arrived, he was handed a present to give to the boy and asked the family and staff to remain outside if they thought they would cry or he wouldn’t be able to do his job.
Santa asked the boy why he was planning on missing Christmas and said that he needed his number one elf.
