It was once thought that dogs didn’t understand what humans said and that they only recognized key sounds which merited learned responses. However, most dog owners know that’s not really the case at all! For example, if you ask a dog owner they can usually tell you that they have had conversations with their pets. Trust me, I do… and some part of my heart says my dog understands and responds… in a way I don’t understand! Just yet, people, just yet. Technology isn’t far behind. I know you may think that it sounds crazy but it’s true. I know a lot of people who actually talk to their pets about everything, even work related stuff. Sometimes out of a very dark moment comes a very bright light. For the dog Hero that’s exactly what happened! This beautiful dog was just regarded as a stray just moments before he did something inexplicable. He had battle wounds such as a broken leg and healed scars all over. However, it’s the five stab wounds that gave him the rightful name of Hero. While living on the streets Hero encountered a couple who were arguing violently. Hero had no idea who these people were and had no reason to intervene, but when the man pulled out a knife he did what people would never do. There’s always been an age-old love hate relationship between the mail carrier and the dogs which live at the residences on their routes. Though many have tried to explain it no one has been able to get a solid answer. In New Zealand though a mail man decided that he was going to take a different approach with the dogs on his route.
