In a tearjerking thread, Reddit user, abernha3, shared a special story about the last car ride he took with his beloved cat. Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy. Over the years, we develop a strong bond for our animals, and they become like our children.
We think about all of the happy times we’ve spent with our animals, but we never want to think of the day that will inevitably come when we have to part ways with them. They’ve made our lives so much happier; we never want to think of a day without them.
Many times, we have to make that decision ourselves, whether it be because they became sick, because of old age, or another reason. Regardless, the decision is never an easy one, and almost always heartbreaking. Abernha3’s cat, Andrew, was almost 16-years-old when he took this last car ride.
