Sassy was a ten-year-old cow dog whose previous owner no longer wanted her. She had a food allergy, and fleas which caused her fur to fall off and her skin to get badly infected and stink. Her owner called Old Dog Haven, a group in Washington who specialized in senior dogs, and said they could come get her or he would shoot her.
Julie Dudley loaded right up and went to her. Sassy slept the whole way to her new, loving home and she lived there for two years before passing away.
