The Elephant Nature Park is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Northern Thailand (Chiang Mai province, to be exact), established in the 1990’s, where you can volunteer and visit to help. The park is located approximately 60km from the city. They have been involved in dozens upon dozens of rescues, which have built their thriving elephant herd into what it is today.
At the park, the elephants have a natural environment to live and thrive in, unlike many zoos and centers that take animals out of their natural environment, and can cause stress and illness!
