South Korea has a dog problem. No, not too many strays, more like too many horrible places for those strays to end up. In the country alone, there are about 17,000 dog meat farms where around two million dogs are slaughtered each year for human consumption.
Puppy mills are also a problem because the government gives incentives to puppy mill farmers that breed dogs who are malnourished and/or used for dog meat farms.
