Google Maps is a tool a large percentage of us use, and understandably so, because you can find just about anything in the world on there. This story involves someone who found something a little more unexpected than driving directions. It all began when Patrick Pittenger pulled up Google Maps Street View earlier this summer to show his girlfriend where he worked in Los Angeles.
He was a bit surprised to see an all-too-familiar face in front of one of the buildings: a stray dog he interacted with often. His girlfriend, Jennifer Velesquez, had heard about the dog, Sonya, before. Sometimes, Patrick would bring her food and water, and was often tempted to adopt her.
It wasn’t a simple thought process, when taking into consideration his dog at home with an immune deficiency.
