People do some pretty incredible things to help out animals in need. Many don’t realize how difficult shelter life can be for a dog, especially for one who has already spent a large amount of time living in a home. Though shelters are preferable to being left out on the street, they can be incredibly stressful, both physically and psychologically, for the dogs who live in them. Lana was one such dog.
She is a gorgeous 4 year old bullmastiff that was left at the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA (AAWL) when her owners were no longer able to care for her. Lana had a very difficult time adjusting to shelter life, and to make matters worse, no one seemed interested in bringing her home.
