Stories of cats in Christmas trees have been around for as long as we can all remember. We have also heard of squirrels, opossums, raccoons, and chipmunks finding their way into Christmas trees, but I’d bet this is one you haven’t heard. In Australia, a woman named Cheryl was gazing at her beautifully decorated Christmas tree when she noticed a new ornament lounging on the branches.
Upon inspection, Cheryl realized the new ornament was actually a tiger snake which just happens to be one of the top ten deadliest snakes in the world. The tiger snake didn’t want to hurt anyone though; he just wanted to be merry and bright.
