James didn’t give Mason a haircut on their first meeting – or even their second. It took bringing Mason into the shop over a period of several months, before he started to relax a bit, and even then, he didn’t want James to get near one of his ears.

Eventually, on one of his visits, James noticed that Mason was happily playing with his mom’s iPhone while lying on the floor. James had the idea to attempt a haircut while Mason’s attention was focused elsewhere.

On his Facebook page, James explained, “We both layed on the floor in silence & he allowed me to cut away & give him his first proper haircut…”

James was proud of this achievement and he enjoyed being able to make Mason’s parents happy. All it took was a little creativity and a lot of understanding on James’ part.
