Fighting cancer is exhausting, so what better way for that strength to be celebrated than by receiving 500 roses? Brad Bousquet decided to give his wife Alissa exactly that after she underwent three surgeries and then had her final chemo treatment at the Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center on Omaha. He even threw in a donation towards breast cancer research in her name. Wow! Brad pulled off this amazing stunt with the help of their four children and a small, close community in Nebraska. On a Facebook post, he wrote, “Today is my wife’s last chemotherapy treatment. She has amazed me with her strength, courage, and positive attitude through it all.” He added that “wanted to do something special during this last treatment to celebrate the end of her chemo and to show her the tremendous love and support she has from her friends and family.” He had previously sent out a text to many of Alissa’s friends and family, asking for them to spread the word and help shower her with roses from a local flower shop. Each rose cost $10.00 – all of which would go to the Susan G. Komen towards breast cancer research. The orders started out as only a few, but soon skyrocketed to 500 roses as over 170 families chipped in. At this point, he asked the shop to stop ordering roses, instead letting any addition money that came in go straight to donations. The raised over $4500 in total. Brad’s children made the delivery to their mother as she came out of her last chemo treatment. After she’d seen all of them, the family shared the roses with other cancer patients receiving treatment that day. Brad wrote in a card addressed to the hospital that each rose represented his family’s support towards theirs. Since 2013, twins represented for about 3 in 100 births in the USA. The chances for identical twins are 3 in 1,000. So we can say that twins aren’t very common. However, what are the chances that one twin would have twins of their own? I’ve generally heard the expression “twins keep running in the family”, yet it’s normally followed by “the twins jump over a generation!” One mom actually gave birth to three sets of twins. Have you ever met something like it? Twins running in one family is not something unusual, but it’s a little different for the Christopher’s family. Mother Eileen is an identical twin. Eileen gave birth to identical twin boys, Justin and Jason, 31 years ago. And now, Amanda, Jason’s spouse, is pregnant with identical twins! The little girls will be the third generation of twins when they arrive. We also wonder is Justin will also have twins. Only time can tell us that. Have you ever met families with lots of twins?

ShaRee Castlebury is a first-grade teacher that made something unexpectedly. Some teachers wouldn’t take kindly to you drawing on their clothes, but she didn’t mind at all. Actually, she was the one who told her students to do that. The outcome is very interesting. ShaRee is from Lawton, Oklahoma, who works at Pat Henry Elementary. For her student’s last day, she wanted to do something special. She decided to combine creativity with fun and came to work in white dress, and asked her “Little Picassos” to draw something all over it. Now she has something beautiful to remember her students and they have an awesome way to end their school year: “As they have to grow up and move on from me, I don’t want to lose the beauty of them. This is a real memory dress”
