She Asked Her Husband If They Could Adopt A Bunny. They Ended Up With 4!

The Strachota’s decided to move to another state by way of a new job. When Brittany’s husband accepted the job, she told him there was one condition; she wanted to adopt a bunny. He agreed to the trade and shortly after moving to Seattle, the couple adopted Charles form Special Bunny which is a rescue that focuses on bunnies who have special needs. Charles turned out to be the best friend a girl could have and followed her to bed, and everywhere else. Her husband quickly fell in love with Charles’s devotion. The couple love him so much that Brittany decided to start volunteering at Special Bunny and began looking for a companion for Charles. It took a lot of trying to find another bunny that he got along with, but they managed to find George who instantly settled in with Charles. Then, Charles got very sick and passed away rapidly. Not long after, they adopted Arwen, whose favorite activity is getting into trouble. Next was Alice who was found featured in a Craigslist ad. Alice is very curious and wants to be a part of everything. Alice immediately bonded with George which left out Arwen, so naturally, they had to get one more bunny. Arwen made a special trip to the shelter to pick out her new friend and she chose Mumble whose previous family no longer wanted him. Each pair of bunnies spends time in their own separate areas of the house and loves to snuggle and get into mischief. The Strachota’s house will never be bunny-less now. Share away, people! Chicken, Who Was Rescued From Certain Death, Loves Sharing The Bed With Her Dog Siblings

Rocky Schwartz and Jay Shooster have a terrible time trying to make their bed at their home in Brooklyn, New York. That’s because it’s always occupied by three cuddly Chihuahuas and a super-snuggly chicken. All four animals love the warm, soft bed because they appreciate the little things in life after having a rough start. Biscuit was dumped off at grocery store in the parking lot with a broken leg and Bambi and Ginger were found after being abandoned together on the New York City subway last year. All three dogs ended up at a local animal shelter that Schwartz works at where she fell in love with them and took them home to stay. The dogs soon discovered that the bed is the family gathering place and dubbed it their favorite spot. Rose, the chicken, was rescued by Schwartz herself when she came across Rose during kapparot. Kapparot is an ultra-orthodox rite that include grabbing a chicken by its head and swinging it in the air before slaughtering it. In Brooklyn alone, there are about 50,000 chickens slaughtered right out in the street. Schwartz was protesting the ritual when she managed to talk one person out of their chicken. Rose was taken home where she quickly developed a soft spot for the bed and her Chihuahua siblings. All four of the family pets cuddle together and make changing the sheets impossible. But their parents don’t mind. They just enjoy watching Rose “dust bathe’ herself on the comforter and seeing the little Chihuahua feet sticking out from underneath the blankets. Share away, people! Horse Says Final Goodbye To His Best Friend Leaving Everyone In Tears

Wagner Figueiredo de Lima once had a horse named Sergio. Sergio and his owner were inseparable until recently when they were dealt a serious blow and separated forever. Earlier this week, Lima had a fatal car wreck near his home in Paraiba, Brazil. Tuesday, all of Lima’s friends and family gathered for his funeral procession to show how much he meant to them before he was laid to rest. Lima’s brother Wando knew that his brother would not be happy if Sergio was not there, so he brought the horse along. When Lima’s coffin drove through the procession, Sergio went to him. The horse sniffed all around the coffin and gave one loud neigh of good-bye to his long-time best friend. Everyone in the area said that the scene was very emotional causing them to cry. After his good-bye, Sergio bent down and laid his head on the coffin for a few moments. Wando said that Sergio was everything to Lima and that it was apparent the horse knew what was going on and wanted to say his good-bye too. After the tear-jerking moment, they all proceeded to walk Lima to his resting place even as Sergio cried the whole way. The horse whimpered and beat the ground with his hooves in a final few minutes of grief. Sergio has been taken home with Wando so that he can stay in the family. The extent of animals’ emotions may be something we never understand, but at times like this, it’s very apparent that they run just as deep as ours. Share away, people. They Walked Up To A Dog Who’d Been Chained And Left To Die…This Was His Reaction

Rudowem Street Dog Rescue got a call about an abandoned dog in bad shape and knew that they had to help, but they were already full. They went out to see what they could do and found the 10-month-old puppy chained to a trailer without food or water. His legs were severely deformed and he had a bad cough and he had only survived off food and water that a good Samaritan had been giving him. They were told that the previous owners said he had a disease that people could catch and to stay away from him so they scooped him up and took him back to see a vet. He was given a clean bill of health besides his leg deformation, his cough, and the fact that he was malnourished. They also discovered that his legs were deformed because they had been intentionally broken at a young age through blunt force trauma. It was decided that he would need several surgeries and splints to help correct them. The vets set his bones and gave him casts on his front two feet. He became known as Duke and showed everyone around him how patient and loving he was. Two weeks later his progressed to splints as he became very used to having x-rays taken. When he was a little older, they performed surgery and fixed a lot of the problems. After his surgery, he was adopted into a happy home where he is thrilled to have a second chance at life and spends his time in his bed snoring. Share away, people! Loyal Dogs Hop Into The Ambulance To Comfort Their Unconscious Owner

Last week, a man fell and bumped his head pretty good while out walking with his two dogs. When paramedics arrived, they found out that the pair of dogs did not plan on being separated from their owner. They seemed to know that he was getting help and did not bother the EMTs, but stayed by his other side while they worked. As soon as the paramedics began loading the man into the ambulance, the dogs hopped right up in there too and got comfortable. The paramedics decided to choose their battles and let the dogs ride along as it was evident they intended to. One of them even placed his paw on the man’s stretcher by his head and licked his face all the way to the hospital. When they arrived, the nurses noticed the dogs’ desire to be close to him as well and decided to allow them to stay. One even laid on his bed with him while he received care. Hospital intern Joha Morillas Zapata posted pictures later that day showing the man in a wheelchair and his two loyal companions as his feet. The intern marked the pictures with the caption “Example of loyalty. The patients of the day.” No matter what kind of recovery this man faces, it is apparent that he will not have to face it alone. Here’s to hoping he lives a full and long life with his two faithful friends at his side. It is obvious there is no place they would rather be. Consider adopting loyal friends at Adopt-A-Pet.

Poor Kitten Trapped In Extreme Weather Gets A Second Chance To Life Thanks To Pokemon

Pokémon Go swept the world this summer and millions of people were out playing the game. One such person ended up saving a kitten’s life. Reddit user Zerofatorial was out wandering the streets in Portalegre, Portugal this summer is ridiculous 109-degree heat when she heard a weird noise and went to investigate. Zerofatorial thought it was a bird at first, but went to check. The crying was coming from a tiny kitten who was stuck behind an electrical post. She knew that the kitten was in serious trouble, so she called the fire department to see if they would be able to help. They had no idea how the kitten ended up in that spot, but knew that it must have been there for a while because it was very weak and could not even close its mouth. Besides the cries for help, the kitten looked dead. The fireman worked hard to free the kitten, but weren’t having any luck. They did give him some water to help him cool down though and he drank which meant he hadn’t given up yet. They used a different machine and the post busted allowing just enough room for the frightened kitten to get pulled out. The girl took the kitten home for the night and bathed him, pulling off many ticks and discovering that he was an orange kitten. It took several months of Spock living at his home before he finally allowed one of them to pet him. After a very traumatic start to life, he is happy, safe, and loved. Share away, people!
