Dog Fast Asleep Gets Woken Up By The Sound Of His Own Snores!

Israeli comedian Tal Solomon has a dog that snores. Loudly. Until, recently, he was unaware of his sleeping tendencies and his owner decided to show him just how disruptive it could be. Solomon decided to record his pup sawing logs and save that video for later. When his dog was sleeping soundly on the couch and snoring away, Solomon played the video for the dozing dog to hear. Judging by the dog’s reaction, the noise is definitely disturbing. The poor pup jumped awake at the sound of his own snores and just looked at Solomon as if confused about where the noise was coming from. With every snore, the dog’s eyes got big and he looked at the phone trying to analyze the origin of the noise while following Solomon’s eyes. Solomon just nodded his head at him while the video continued to play. Maybe Solomon’s dog will understand and stop snoring, it’s doubtful though. Most likely, he just went right back to sleep and began snoring away knowing that he is loved anyway. A lot of dogs snore while they sleep and some breeds are even more prone to it than others. If your dog is keeping you awake, you can always try shifting their position to help them sleep better. Also, know that if your dog suddenly starts snoring after a lifetime of quiet, it may mean a trip to the vet is in order to make sure they are still healthy and happy. You can read a little more information about sudden snoring and health problems here. Share away, people! Images & Feature Image Source: Tal Solomon

Horse In A Pool Gets A Second Chance After Brave Firefighters Spend Over 2 Hours Rescuing Her!

A couple of days ago, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service got a call about a strange incident at a home in Goffs Oak, England. A horse named Dolly had decided to take a sudden swim around 10 p.m. in the family’s swimming pool. The one big problem with that was the temperature. It was around minus one degree Celsius and was freezing outside. Rescuers knew that they had to get Dolly out before she got hypothermia. No one knows how she got in or why the horse wanted to take a swim, but it was not exactly swimming weather so they went to work in her rescue. The firefighter spent two hours dedicated to her rescue and pumped most of the water from the pool to reduce Dolly’s risk of hypothermia. Then, they built a ramp out of donated hay bales from local farmers and used ropes and a harness to pull her out to safety. Dolly was a great patient and did not fight or argue the firefighters. In fact, she stayed calm the whole time. Maybe she was depressed about the weather interfering with her aquatics. Dolly is now safe and sound back at home with a clean bill of health from her vet. After a stern talking to, I’m betting she won’t jump into a pool in winter again. Surprisingly, the Fire and Rescue team said that Dolly isn’t the first big animal they’re rescued this year. They had to save a deer from a swimming pool twice in July. The weather must have been warmer then. Images & Feature Image Source: Hertfordshire County Council

These Cats Are So Obsessed With Q-Tips That They Go Crazy Every Time Them See Them!

Everyone knows cats are plotters. While they’re stuck in shelter cages, they’re undoubtedly plotting ways to torture their next human. When Christy Dukitsch took home Huey from a Toronto shelter back in 2014, the very first thing he did when he got there was to head butt his new brother. Despite the strange introduction, the two became best friends. The nicknamed “tiny terrorist” shocked everyone again when he got a hold of a Q-tip. He soaked in it water, and then asked his owner to play fetch. And fetch he did. Huey loves the game and sometimes even brings his owner several water-softened Q-tips to throw. As soon as he spots them, he gets all excited and starts purring. He’s not the only one either.   Walter White is another cat from Toronto and he sneaks into his owner’s bathroom cabinet to get the Q-tips. Walter then just bats them around, chews on them, and subsequently loses them under the furniture. His owner Melanie Orfus says that he just gets more when they’re lost which leaves Q-tips all over the house. Walter is shy and loves the cabinet behind the stove that he can open himself, so she’s even found Q-tips in the cabinets.   Since he sleeps all day until about 7 p.m., he is up all night feistily chasing Q-tips or begging for attention. We may not know why some cats are so strange but one thing we do know is that they’re all different. Some are just a little extra different. To witness a cat’s odd behavior, adopt here. Sick Cat Surrendered At A Shelter Finds The Perfect Human To Care For Her…

Mildred the cat was dropped off at the Etobicoke Humane Society in Toronto when her owner had to surrender her to move into a nursing home. Within a couple of weeks, Mildred had contracted a terrible cold and declined quickly. The social media manager for the shelter, Becca Gordon, was holding the cat and noticing that her little body was shaking. A worker told he that Mildred needed a foster home ASAP and Gordon agreed to take her home for a while. Gordon didn’t pan on fostering because she already had two cats, nut Mildred’s situation, mixed with her sympathy led her to do it. Mildred not only needed help with her cold, but also was refusing to eat or drink so she had to be hand force-fed. Mildred got antibiotics and soon, Gordon noticed that the Darth Vader sounding cat kept wanting to go into the bathroom. It seemed that the steam from hot water helped break up her sinuses. The pair would sit in the bathroom with hot water going full blast until Mildred could breathe again and began sneezing. As soon as Mildred could breathe again, her personality would show up. And boy, was it infectious! Her meow was somewhere between a squawk and a baby cry and she would bellow them out if she was separated from Gordon. She is a cuddly cat and just wants to be snuggled. Mildred is already set to be adopted when her cold is finally gone. You can help cats like Mildred here or you can follow Mildred’s progress here. Images & Feature Image Source: Becca Gordon
