Time and distance can never destroy the bonds of family, but even when we may not realize it, we carry the stress of separation around with us every day we are apart. Many families are not fortunate enough to get to stay together throughout their lives. Long times apart can be somewhat alleviated thanks to video chats and phone calls, but eventually lack of physical proximity takes its toll.
This video captures that exquisite moment when the flood of emotion that was carefully walled away by one son, is finally released when he is at last reunited with his mother. Jeff is a new father who has not seen his brother Axel for 4 years, and his mother Madeline for 10 years. Madeline worked as a flight attendant, and though Jeff was born in the United States, he was raised between Paris, France and Libreville, Gabon.
