This isn’t just another story about a kid and their dog. This one is special. This is the story of a little girl who wouldn’t get to be a kid without her dog. Aaron and Debbie Knobloch had to face every parent’s worst nightmare when their 7-month-old daughter Alida began to get sick.
Alida was struggling to breathe, and had to go to the hospital for the first time. 2 months later, they had a diagnosis: Neuroendocrine Cell Hyperplasia of Infancy, or NEHI; a disease that prevents the oxygen in Alida’s lungs from entering her bloodstream.
Due to her illness, Alida must depend on an external oxygen source in the form of heavy canisters that she must be connected to at all times.
Then she met this dog… and he saves her life every single day!
