In 2004, a study was published in the journal, “Science”, proving that crows have an unusually large brain for their size. In fact, their brains are comparable to the capacity of a seven-year-old human child’s. They have the ability to conspire, to recognize human faces (meanwhile we could’ve seen the same crow every day of our life and would have no idea), have an impeccable memory, and an amazing ability to solve problems. They also plan; they think about time and they think ahead. They have adaptive behavior very similar to humans, and it’s crazy how quickly they pick up on things, like how to make their surroundings work for them. Crows are consistently mentioned in studies as some of the world’s most intelligent species, along with chimpanzees, dolphins, elephants, and gorillas.
