Tara Cali, a mother from Bakersfield, California, has sparked debate around the country concerning what our children should be learning in school. She apparently was very surprised when she opened her son’s 7th grade history book, to find a lesson on Islamic faith. She was enraged because she took the assignment as indoctrination, and took it upon herself to write a note back to the history teacher.
She posted a photo of the assignment on Facebook, and wrote a story along with the photo, as well as adding verses from the Bible to make a point.
