Khalessi, The Pit Bull Who Taught Us All About Love And Hope, Has Passed Away

Khalessi, the strong, brave warrior pup who inspired the world, passed away on Thursday morning at 8:43 a.m. This beloved pup’s story began in August 2015, when Mike and Stephanie Paquin – who run Passion 4 Pits, a rescue group focused on saving neglected and abused dogs – discovered Khalessi in a shelter in Florida. Many of her bones were broken and she was missing half of her face due to a troubled past that may have involved abuse. The couple adopted the pup, naming her after a warrior queen, and sought to give her the life she deserved. She received surgery that fixed her broken bones as well as her nose and mouth. Almost overnight, Khalessi gained popularity over the internet and became a celebrity. She even won underdog of the year at the 2016 World Dog Awards. She helped raise awareness for animal abuse and provided some much-needed hope to others who were suffering. All in less than a year – that’s one impressive pup! But her new happy life couldn’t erase what had been done to her in the past. In January, she was diagnosed with babesia, common among pups that have been forced to fight. The incurable disease caused her kidneys to fail. She was then put through treatment after treatment, with her mommy and daddy by her side, but poor test results in June made them realize it was time to change course. Stephanie shared in a post on Facebook that Khalessi did not yet show signs of illness, but she knew it was only a matter of time. “Khalessi will tell me when she is ready. I don’t know if it will be a week or a month from now but she will tell me and I will respect her wishes.” On Thursday, after a week and a half of being pampered by mommy and daddy, being brought to all her favorite places, seeing all her favorite people, and even eating her favorite foods, Khalessi let her mommy know she was ready. Stephanie now fights on, asking others to honor Khalessi by helping to end animal abuse. If you’d like the help the cause, you can donate via PayPal at [email protected], or on the Passion 4 Pits website. Do share this around to spread the story of this beautiful pup’s life. His Son Was Constantly Bullied By Other Kids. Now Watch What’s Inside His Jacket.

An insurance company has managed to touch the hearts of over 1 million Internet users, making them shed many a tear over one very powerful video. It all started when American Family Insurance released an advertisement on YouTube about a father’s love and the bond between a father and son. The video begins in a little house, where a young Hispanic boy is watching a video on his phone of a male Flamenco dancer. His father enters his room and presents him with a gift, which turns out to be a Judo outfit. The young boy clearly does not want to learn martial arts, as his passion lies with dancing, but he goes along with it. The father walks his son to Judo class, and as they go through their rough neighborhood, the boys in the area laugh and jeer at the young boy. At first, the boy is clearly affected, and he doesn’t do too well in class, but then he begins to learn. Finally, he wins a Judo competition against someone in a higher ranking than him. His father is immensely proud of him, and now that he is certain his son is good enough at martial arts, he presents him with another gift. It’s the Flamenco outfit he’s always wanted. Dad Takes Son To The Tattoo Parlor. What He Does On His Head? Unbelievable.

The love of a father is a beautiful and heartwarming thing. A father is often the person a young boy looks up to as his mentor and hero, and someone who he wants to be just like. That’s why Josh Marshall’s efforts in helping his son to overcome his own insecurities must have meant a lot to him. In March 2015, 8-year-old Gabriel was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma, which is a rare form of brain cancer. The tumor was successfully removed, but the surgery left him bald and with a scar across the right side of his head. Marshall told ABC news that the scar left his son feeling “like a monster” and “very self-conscious”. In order to mitigate those feelings, four months later, Marshall decided to get a tattoo of his son’s scar in the same spot. He said to his son, ‘You know what, I’ll get your scar tattooed. That way, if people want to stare at you, then they can stare at both of us.’ Gabriel loves it! The tattoo has boosted his confidence greatly. After Marshall entered a picture of his tattoo to the St. Baldrick Foundation’s #BestBaldDad competition, his decision also received fame over the internet. He took home the first place prize with over 5,000 votes. According to Marshall, Gabriel is now doing well, and he’s been telling everyone that he and his father are twins. The young boy receives scans every three months to monitor a small portion of the tumor that remains but has not developed further. This inspiring story of a father’s love for his son is truly touching! He Tells This Kid A Riddle His Father Told Him When He Was 7. The Kid’s Response? Unbelievable.

Times are changing, and the world has progressed a lot in the past sixty, or even thirty years. This man discovered just how much has become different about the world when he decided to tell a child the same thing his father told him when he was younger. The child’s response surprised him. It all begins with this riddle: “A man and his son are driving in their car, when they are hit by a tractor-trailer. The father dies instantly. The son is badly injured and is rushed to the hospital by paramedics. As he is being wheeled into the operating room, the surgeon takes one look at the boy and says: ‘I can’t operate on him. He’s my son.’ How is that possible?!” This riddle was told to Eric March when he was 7 years old by his father. His immediate response was: “The doctor is his mom!” But March’s father, who was also told this riddle as a child, had answered differently back in his day. At that time, the idea of a woman working in an important medical profession was not even heard of. However, to March, the answer to the riddle was simple and straightforward, because he lived in a world where occupational equality for women was increasing. 21 years later, March mentors a child through a volunteer program. One day, the pair start exchanging riddles, trying to stump the other person. March decides to relay the riddle about the surgeon to this child. At first, he thinks it’ll be too easy. If it was easy for him, it must be even easier now. But the child, without batting an eyelash, gives a different answer. He replies: “It’s his other dad.” The evolving of the answer to this riddle shows the progression of the world with time, first in attempting to achieve gender equality, and now attempting to achieve equality among different sexual orientations. The world is slowly breaking down the tradition structure of family – father, mother, child – and showing all the things a family can be. At the end of the day, #LoveWins.
